The short answer
Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations give you the general ledger, purchasing, sales, inventory, projects, approvals and reporting. They do not, for most countries, ship a complete statutory payroll: the earnings, deductions, contributions, returns and payslips that a legal employer has to run every month.
Payroll is therefore added: by integrating a payroll product you already use, by installing a partner payroll app, or by running a payroll that sits inside Dynamics 365. For Kenya and East Africa, our option is PayrollFlow 365, a global, parameter-driven payroll that runs on Business Central and Finance & Operations.
What Dynamics 365 gives you out of the box
The platform covers everything around payroll and the posting that follows it.
Your three options
Which option is right depends on the number of countries, how complex your pay rules are, and whether payroll already runs well somewhere else.
Payroll in Kenya and East Africa: the local layer
A payroll in Kenya and East Africa has to handle PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Affordable Housing Levy and NITA levy. PayrollFlow 365 carries published statutory content for Kenya, kept in step with legislation, and the same core runs Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia as parameters set with you and your adviser.
What to decide before you choose
Five questions settle most payroll decisions.
How an engagement runs
It starts with a 45-minute consultation, then a discovery and fit-gap workshop on your own processes. You receive a written fit-gap and a phased plan before a programme is agreed. Four phases follow, each with something you can use and review.
Discover
Process workshops, data audit, and a fit-gap against the standard product.
Design
Solution blueprint, integration map, and the extensions we will actually need.
Deploy
Configuration, migration rehearsal, role-based training, UAT and phased cutover.
Support
Hypercare, managed services, client portal, scheduled optimisation reviews.
What drives the cost: users, legal entities and currencies, integrations, data migration and the gaps found against standard. See how pricing works or run the three-minute readiness score.

How do we start?
With a 45-minute consultation, then a discovery workshop on your payroll scope, countries and integrations. You receive a written plan and an estimate before any programme is agreed.
Statutory rates, bands and filing rules are set by each country's authorities and change; we confirm the current position with you and your advisers before configuration. General information, not tax, legal or accounting advice.
