Microsoft Dynamics 365 in East Africa.

One head office in Nairobi, subsidiaries in Dar es Salaam, Kampala, Kigali or Addis Ababa, and a board that wants one set of numbers. The design problem is the same everywhere; the authorities and currencies are not.

What changes country by country

Each East African country has its own tax authority, invoice-submission system, statutory payroll and currency. The ledger, the chart of accounts and the approval model should be shared; the country layer should be a connector and a set of tax and payroll rules.

Tax authority and electronic invoice or fiscal-device system
Statutory payroll and social-security schemes
Currency, exchange-rate source and revaluation
Local filing calendars and languages
Data-protection law and registration

How we roll out a region

Prove the template in the most demanding country first, then roll out entity by entity. For most East African groups that means building the group chart and dimension model in Nairobi, adding a second country with different tax and payroll rules, and only then scaling.

Group chart of accounts with local statutory mappings
Intercompany with automated eliminations
Multi-currency with a documented rate policy
One payments model with maker-checker control through local banks
Consolidation and board reporting from the live ledger

One team in one time band

Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Kampala and Addis Ababa share a time zone, and Kigali is one hour behind. Workshops and support run in the same working day as your subsidiaries.

Frequently asked questions

Can one Dynamics 365 tenant run entities in several East African countries?

Yes. Business Central and Finance & Operations both support multiple legal entities, currencies and consolidation. The decisions are the group chart, the dimension model and which local rules sit in each entity.

Do you have offices in every country?

Our Kenyan office is in Nairobi. We deliver across East Africa remotely, with on-site workshops at key milestones.

Is there a payroll product for every East African country?

PayrollFlow 365 is a global, parameter-driven payroll, so any country can run on the same core. We publish and maintain statutory content for Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa; for Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia and others we set the parameters with you and your adviser, or integrate the payroll product you already use, and post to the group ledger.

Statutory rates, filing rules and mandate dates are set by each country's authorities and change; we confirm the current position with you and your local adviser before configuration. Connector availability is stated as on the DigiTaxFlow 365 product page.
